Ecole St. Pierre Hotel is located just steps from the Galata Tower, in the former building of the Collège des Frères St. Pierre primary school. Once under French patronage and run by Italian Dominican priests, the school stands in the garden of the St. Pierre Monastery, and its architect was the Italian-born Gaspare Fossati. Inside the hotel are rare remains of the Galata walls built by the Genoese in the 13th century, and in the building's courtyard the Italian restaurant IL CORTILE Ristorante & Pizzeria wraps around these walls.
